Information – and lots of it – is essential to any advocacy effort. Thus, a key advocacy skill is knowing how to find and use information, efficiently and effectively.

Research Tools in Support of Advocacy is (i) a day long workshop or (ii) a 3-part webinar covering such topics as:

  • The top 10 on-line research tools
  • Defining, finding and negotiating for a Public Record
  • Finding and researching people
  • Learning how to make informal use of access to information
  • When and how to make strategically important Access to Information / Freedom of Information requests
