Bill 122, the Broader Public Sector Accountability Act, passed by the Ontario Legislature in late fall 2010, prohibits public sector organizations from using public funds to hire external lobbyists. This applies to all large broader public sector organizations such as hydro entities, hospitals, school boards, colleges, universities and any other public funded organization receiving over $10 million dollars in government funding.
